Article of the Week: 22 Feb

Congratulations to David DeVries, winner of Article of the Week (22 Feb)!
This article talks about transparency in the market place. The article argues transparency is a good thing but emphasizes that it is the quality of the information that is important. Not all information is equally valuable.

This short article is an optimist view at the current economic situation and it mentions derivatives to boot! While the economy is still shrinking, the slope of that curve is becoming less steep, so the economy is not shrinking as much.

This article talks about transparency in the market place. The articles believes it is a good thing but it is hard to decifer limits.

A very interesting article about the auto bailout on several points. First it makes the point that it may cost the government more money if the companies go into bankrupcy. Secondly its not just the car makers that are hurting but the entire industry hurting.
